I created a piece that fits today’s theme of “National I Love My Feet Day”, and I am very excited to share the first in a collaborative series with poets and writers.
You can visit the Artwork & Play Blog to read more about the piece and read Quirine’s beautiful haiku.

Watercolor & Ink
Haiku by Quirine “Q” Dongelmans
I really enjoy simple contour line drawings, figurative work, and limited palettes.
I am also a huge fan of poetry and “micro” stories.
I thought this series would be a great chance to collaborate with share literary artists that inspire me, and to inspire other writers.
It’s a sort of visual to verbal volley.
An illustration might inspire a writer, and a piece of writing may inspire an illustration, and it flows where it goes…
If you’re interested in collaborating, contact me.
The original unframed watercolor and ink piece (without text) is currently listed in my DPW gallery on auction.
