“Humility is not cowardice. Meekness is not weakness. Humility and meekness are indeed spiritual powers.” -Swami Sivananda
The peacock is a gorgeous creature that has been used symbolically in art for millenia. Often representing beauty, pride, and sometimes the eye of God. I believe that the elegant lines of the resting bird, as opposed to the strutting fully plumed male, is the most beautiful.
The original piece was carved into plaster applied to a vintage cigar box and then painted with many layers of acrylic glazes. This piece is available as a giclée or canvas reproduction in all of my shops.
