Cygne de la Seine

Once upon a time, on a dark night by the Seine in Paris, an especially large Swan locked eyes with me and told me to follow her. I walked down the steps and stood by the cold, black water. She whispered that the lights dancing on the dark water were only reflections of what could be. That they seem beautiful because it’s dark, but to reach the new worlds I would have to be brave and let go of old ideas and dive into the unknown, that’s where the brightest lights burn. She also let me take her photo. Wouldn’t tell me her name. Said I already knew. Some Cygne, eh?
